Could you become your own kind of brave?

Your parent or carer has already looked at StreetReady and told you what it is about, including the chance to try a free session. I made this page for you to read together, so you can see what we do and know what to expect before you come along.

You do not have to be the biggest, loudest or bravest person in the room. StreetReady helps you notice what is happening, use a strong voice and learn what to do next.

Your StreetReady class

Strong starts with knowing what to do.

What if someone gets too close? What if a game stops feeling fun? What if you need help but your words feel stuck?

We practise those moments safely. You will learn about personal space, warning signs and getting to a trusted adult. You will also hit pads, move with a partner, fall safely and escape from simple grabs. You can be new, nervous or unsure. That is what practice is for.

01

Can you notice?

Look around, spot changes and listen to the feeling that tells you something is not right.

02

Can you be clear?

Stand tall, protect your space and practise saying “Stop” in a voice people hear.

03

Can you keep going?

Try, reset and try again. Mistakes are part of learning a new skill.
